MY FIRST RACE

MY FIRST RACE

I am proud of my writing because it is one of my best piece of writing yet.

I learnt where to use descriptive words in the right place.

I would make a longer piece of writing that is more interesting.

There I was on the start line of my first MotoCross race. Shivering with nervousness and excitement, Finally the starter Man came into view, He briefed us about the race. Unexpectedly there was a  Bang !!! The starting gun went off. ,Everybody raced off leaving me in there dust, My motorbike suddenly took off with my body dragging behind.

I passed a few people at the back as I regained my confidence, I raced on ahead, starting to pass more people, I was 5 th, 4 th, 3 rd, . I was in 3RD place when suddenly there is a loud crash up ahead of me. As I get nearer there were two people tangled together floundering about in distress.

I was now in first place!! BUT there looming in the distance was the biggest jump I had ever seen, It was huge, towering over me like a giant . AND it was getting bigger with every second, I wondered if I was going to make the jump. I quicken up my pace ,I  was flung into the air, my engine still revving furiously as I hit ground hard.

I saw the last corner to the finish line ahead of me I was going to win my first race. But then my motorbike putted out I wondered what was wrong but it was to late for that I could hear the other motorbikes getting closer I pushed my bike to the finish line, I had come first after the race I figured out that I hadn't filled my motorbike up with fuel.
